Traditional Zaouli Mask Dance in Bouafle, Ivory Coast 🎵🇨🇮 ⚫At the outset the dancer uses pompom like objects to signal the rate of the drum beat. ⚫The dance itself is physically demanding, and the dancer undertakes a type of duel with the audience. ⚫It has been described as "the most impossible dance in the world" and it's takes an average of seven years to perfect the moves. ⚫In 2017 UNESCO added the Zaouli to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. 🎥 Video
