BOSTON - Last night, a Boston Police Officer responding to a report of a person with a gun was shot in the chest, which was stopped by a ballistic vest, after a short foot pursuit of a suspect. The officer, who hasn’t been identified is in stable condition. Suspect is in custody. | Live Boston News

Overnight, Boston Police were confronted by an individual experiencing a psychiatric emergency, armed with a weapon. Attempts to de-escalate were unsuccessful and pepper spray was deployed with no effect. Additional less-lethal options were requested to the scene. After the arrival of additional less-lethal options, the individual was successfully disarmed and taken into custody without injury.
