'Tis the season for bat rescues and sweet mum Jessie and her baby Jack found themselves trapped on a barbed wire fence earlier in the week. Rescued by Jane following a lengthy drive into the Never Never, Jessie managed to keep Jack safe from the wire but sadly, she received some significant wing damage thanks to the razor sharp wire. Jessie's wings will repair and I anticipate that both Jessie and her son will be released back to the wild together early next year. Please consider removing barbed

The Learning Center exterior is almost complete, with the school bus parking currently being worked on. Funds are still needed for the handicap ramp. The interior will include interactive displays including the original wooden box, built in 1988, that housed Sunshine, the little bat who began the legacy of Bat World Sanctuary.
