Arsenal have persistently flirted with moves for both Gyokeres and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko this summer but if the ex-Coventry City hitman does not show up for training in Lisbon, there is optimism Sporting may crack and eventually, soften their stance.

Arsenal have been given a wake-up call in the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting CP striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for much of the summer as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attack.
