In June, the monoclonal antibody garadacimab (Andembry) was approved for prevention of HAE attacks at a dose of once monthly subcutaneously. Weeks later, regulators approved sebetralstat (Ekterly) as an oral, on-demand therapy for HAE.

The approval makes donidalorsen the only treatment in the US for hereditary angioedema that is an RNA-targeted prophylactic.

Dawnzera is the first and only RNA-targeted prophylactic therapy to be approved for hereditary angioedema in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older.
