Florida football's starting center Jake Slaughter was named to USA TODAY Sports' preseason All-American First Team ahead of the 2025 season.

It's been a good week for quarterback D.J. Lagway, who has been limited in camp due to a calf injury. Lagway displayed the arm strength that allowed him to complete 12 passes of 40 yards or more as a freshman in 2024, connecting with receivers J. Michael Sturdivant and T.J. Florida A&M football is a week and a half out from kickoff, and the shift from focusing solely on them to turning their attention towards that week one opponent has begun.

Florida football held its 11th practice of fall camp on August 12 at the Sanders Practice Fields. The Florida Gators will practice 17 times in all to prepare for the grind of the 2025 season, which starts Aug.

Alabama director of sports performance David Ballou shared the message players received right after the 2024 season.

“Florida, Georgia, and Miami are still in contact with Bennett, hoping he will reconsider his commitment to the Seminoles, but he has no plans to visit other schools. Bennett does plan on being in Tallahassee for FSU’s week one tilt versus Alabama,” Benjamin wrote.
