John Cena Retires From WWE

Gunther is still reveling in the glory of his most historic victory, having defeated WWE icon John Cena in his final match over the weekend. However, there are already plans for 'The Ring General' to retire two other legends in the coming months, according to reports.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Tuesday, Cena hinted that Brock Lesnar may retire after SummerSlam, making his Minneapolis appearance his final dance with the WWE. Lesnar recently returned to the WWE from a two-year absence that coincided with him being named in a sex trafficking lawsuit against the company and Vince McMahon.
Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE television at SummerSlam 2025, confronting John Cena, who had just lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes. Lesnar laid out Cena, setting up a match between the two at WWE Wrestlepalooza. The match was a quick affair with Lesnar winning.
John Cena has now responded after Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and others sent him emotional messages before his retirement match this weekend.
