The Golden State Warriors began a three-game East Coast road trip in Philadelphia, hoping to turn around a rough stretch against Eastern Conference teams.

Butler suffered a knee injury in Golden State’s 124-112 loss Tuesday, Dec. 2 against the Thunder. He did not return to the game and underwent an MRI. The Warriors said Butler would miss at least Thursday’s game against the 76ers with knee soreness.

Derrick White leads Boston to a 146-101 win over Washington by dropping 30 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in 29 minutes. Jordan Walsh (22 points) and Payton Pritchard (20 points) did their thing in the Celtics’ third straight dub.

Butler's MRI did not show any structural damage but he could miss multiple games. Meanwhile, the Warriors welcome De'Anthony Melton back.

Tyrese Maxey scored 20 of his 35 points in the third quarter, Andre Drummond had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Washington Wizards 121-102.

Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for Thursday's game between the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers. Butler was listed as questionable earlier Thursday after suffering a knee injury in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder. Stephen Curry will also miss this game and the next two with a quad injury.
