Our final stop on our Live Community Coverage Tour brings us to the mountains of New Mexico. We’ve never traveled this far west in more than 20 years of this KCBD tradition, but now, more than ever, Ruidoso needs the support of all of us to sustain this mountain village.
A flash flood in Ruidoso, New Mexico, swept through an RV park, causing fatalities and widespread damage. Three people staying at the RV park were killed or went missing in the flood. The floodwaters crested at a historic 20 feet, exceeding previous records.
New Mexico state officials have asked a state court to order Cannon Air Force to allow inspectors to test for toxic substances, after Cannon officials on July 15 prohibited them from doing so.
