Political leaders in Rhode Island and across the country have offered their condolences to those affected by the mass shooting at Brown University.

"The firefighters, the policemen, the civil leaders, neighbors who come together, and let us celebrate that community," Sen. Jack Reed said.

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has been among the most visible public officials in the wake of a mass shooting at Brown University that killed two students and injured nine others.

At the University of Rhode Island (URI), where final exams are supposed to end this Wednesday, Dec. 17, all in-person exams have been canceled for today, Monday, Dec. 15. Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) has not yet started final exams, but will hold all classes remote today, Monday, Dec. 15.
