Rams mock draft has the team landing a QB of the future

ESPN’s Field Yates dropped his latest mock draft, predicting the Rams will select Ohio State safety Caleb Downs with the 9th overall pick which originally belonged to the Atlanta Falcons.
According to ESPN reporter Sarah Bishop, the Rams are well aware of the quarterback issue and have a plan for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Thanks to owning the Atlanta Falcons ' first-round pick, the Rams could be in line to add a highly-touted rookie this offseason.
The Rams announced on Saturday that they have activated WR Tutu Atwell from injured reserve. Los Angeles is also elevating S Tanner Ingle from the practice squad for Week 15.

NFL analyst predicts Rams trade for this QB if Stafford retires
The Ringer's Diante Lee, though, predicts the Rams will look at the veteran starting quarterback market instead of the draft because of general manager Les Snead's history. Snead did it with Stafford in 2021, so it stands to reason he could do it again after Stafford retires to capitalize on a roster that is young and ascending.
While the 49ers and Rams battled with an eye towards the playoffs, other teams are hoping to land the top draft pick in April.
