The FBI was asking for the public's help finding a man "with a stocky build" in connection with Saturday's fatal mass shooting in Providence, Rhode Island.

With the Brown University shooter still on the loose, police fanned out to Providence schools to reassure parents, kids, and teachers as the search continues.

The person who opened fire on campus remained at large. “Obviously we have a murderer out there,” Rhode Island's attorney general said.

Gunfire erupted on the first floor of Brown University’s Barus and Holley engineering and physics building around 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 during a review session for an economics exam.

Police released a slew of new video and images of the Brown University mass shooting suspect, primarily from the hours before the shooting.

On the Rhode Island Report podcast, Smiley says there is no sign of an ‘ongoing threat,’ and police presence has been stepped up around the Brown campus with help from outside agencies.

According to the Providence Police Department, officers responded to the area of 34 Ashmont Street at approximately 10:24 p.m. and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim had been shot in the foot and a second person was also at the scene, according to police.
