Supergirl, DC Universe
Digest more
" Supergirl, DC Studios’ newest feature film to hit the big screen, will be in theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures, starring Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie directs the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.
An interstellar mercenary with a big mouth and an even larger kill count, Lobo was created by writer Roger Slifer and artist Keith Giffen in 1983. He first appeared in Omega Men #3, a comic following a team of extraterrestrial superheroes that fight crime and, sometimes, each other.
Lobo is traditionally an antihero in the comics who has fought alongside and against many heroes in the DC Universe. He has thrown hands with Superman and the Justice League, while also working with them.
Judging by its trailer, DC Studios' Supergirl will remain mostly faithful to the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic that inspired it (with some exceptions).
