The Pickett Fire in Calistoga doubled in size and, as of Friday evening, was about 3,235 acres and 7% contained, CalFire officials announced.

The Pickett Fire, burning since Thursday afternoon near Calistoga, is the largest fire this year within the six counties covered by Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit. The fire has burned 3,235 acres as of Friday afternoon and was 5% contained, according to fire officials.
Being under the threat of fire danger is nothing new for residents in the Calistoga area. While heavy gray smoke was seen from town, many tried to go on with their daily lives.
Santa Rosa police are letting residents know that the smoke in the area is from the Pickett Fire burning in Calistoga in Napa County.
