The heat is on! North Texas is skipping the typical spring conditions this week, trading them for full sunshine and summer-like warmth as the region heads into a record-breaking weekend.

North Texas is under the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon, March 10, with more widespread storms expected to develop tonight.

Another round of rain is headed to North Texas, bringing back the threat of severe weather. Showers are possible Tuesday morning but are not expected to be widespread, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

Another warm day is in store for North Texas on Friday, Feb. 27. Daily highs will stick around the upper 70s Friday, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Skies will be sunny and rain-free.
