Dozens of trains were impacted after a signal outage on the Northeast Corridor, the busiest stretch of passenger rail in North America.

Passengers have been warned of train disruptions across parts of the East of England, including Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and parts of Cambridgeshire, due to planned signalling upgrade works.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted until 09:00 GMT, National Rail says.
