A 99-year-old World War II veteran living on a houseboat at Lake O' the Pines says high winds destroyed Bullfrog Marina around him — but his floating home was left untouched.

The Kansas Department of Commerce has awarded a $99,000 grant to the Kansas State Fair to help preserve and renew Ye Old Mill, a dark water boat ride built in 1915.
