Six teenagers were shot and wounded after a Sweet 16 party in Brooklyn, according to New York City police. The gunfire erupted at around 1 a.m. Sunday, about 20 minutes after the birthday party at an event space in the Cypress Hills neighborhood ended, officials said.

Police said Sunday that two gunmen opened fire, shooting six teenagers outside an event venue on Atlantic Avenue.

Six teenagers were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning outside a party venue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, according to police. Officers responded at approximately 1:15 a.m. to a 911 call reporting multiple people shot outside 2929 Atlantic Ave., an NYPD spokesperson said.
