Click the "Insert" menu option above the ribbon. Click the Picture icon. Use the file manager dialog box to locate the FireWorks image you want to insert. Click the "Insert" button.

An Insert Picture dialog box will appear; choose your desired picture from your files, then click Insert. You will not see a picture background within the table.

To insert a photo of your own from your device, click This Device instead and your File Explorer will pop up. Choose your photo and it will appear where you clicked your cursor within the document.

To reduce your document's size, click "Link to File" rather than "Insert" in the Insert Picture dialog box. This links the image to your document rather than transferring it.

You can insert a PDF into Word via the File, Open menu, which turns the PDF into an editable document, or as a non-editable image.

In both versions, enter your preferred letterhead text (organization name, address, phone, e-mail, etc.), and then click Insert > Picture (> From File in Word 2003).
