Happily, just days before my story point-of-sale vendor Ingenico produced a tutorial on how to spot a skimmer on self checkout lanes powered by Ingenico iSC250 card terminals.

There's an app for everything, it seems, and increasingly an app on everything: phones, TVs, robots... and soon even the payment terminals used with chip-based bank cards.
