July 27 (UPI) -- Starz has narrowed the premiere window for Spartacus: House of Ashur to "this winter" and released a new teaser for the eagerly awaited period drama. Nick E. Tarabay will reprise his role of Ashur from 2010's Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

As revealed at Comic-Con, Outlander: Blood of my Blood will now air the first two episodes, instead of just one, on its Friday, August 8th premiere date. As if that wasn’t enough to get fans excited, though, Starz unveiled two clips from the prequel series.

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” star MeKai Curtis will join the cast, reprising his role as Kanan Stark in the new prequel series. Casting for a young Ghost and Tommy, originally played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora respectively, is yet to be announced.

Cable network Starz announced it has given the greenlight to "Power: Origins," a prequel series focused on the lives of a young Ghost and Tommy in New York.

Hightown was removed from Starz last year after the conclusion of the third and final season, which aired on March 8, 2024.

STARZ is spinning the block and stepping back in time by showcasing the bold beginnings of the 'Power' Universe.

Starz has picked up Power: Origins to series, becoming the Universe’s fifth installment and the second prequel following Power Book III: Raising Kanan. It will consist of 18 episodes, which will make up Season 1, with Raising Kanan creator Sascha Penn to serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

Starz's crime drama series Hightown, starring Monica Raymund and Riley Voelkel, premiered on May 17, 2020. Created by Rebecca Cutter, the series was soon renewed for season two in 2021.
