Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka did not enter a plea and will likely be scheduled for a July trial on the trespassing charge.

Mayor Ras Baraka is scheduled to appear in federal court for a status conference after being arrested on trespassing charges at an ICE detention center.

The Department of Homeland Security alleged that Worcester City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj “pulled a political stunt and incited chaos."

The protesters plan to demand that the city council request the City Manager to draft a new policy that would prevent Worcester Police officers from becoming involved in ICE operations.
