Cal Raleigh continues to be absurd. It's July 4th, and the Seattle Mariners catcher has tied his career-high home run total for an entire season. Last year, Raleigh hit 34 homers. And now this year, Raleigh has hit 34 homers. It's not even the All-Star break yet.

Only twice ever in MLB has a player had those stats as a catcher over the course of an entire season, before now. Raleigh has done it before the All-Star Game.

Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that Mariners Catcher Cal Raleigh has been selected as the starting catcher for the American League All-Star team.
