Two former Winthrop University students want the school to rename Tillman Hall, the campus building honoring one of South Carolina’s most notorious racist politicians, “Pitchfork” Benjamin Tillman.

On Friday, Clemson University trustees voted to rename its honors college. Effective immediately, it'll now be known as Clemson University Honors College, university officials said in a press release.
