NASA has officially started the clock on one of the most important milestones remaining before the Artemis 2 mission.
NASA conducted a wet dress rehearsal for Artemis II to validate fueling, countdown, and launch procedures for the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft ahead of a future crewed mission.
Operating hours at Playalinda Beach near Titusville will shrink during NASA's Artemis II preparations, then the beaches will close starting Jan. 31.
Before NASA can decide a rocket launch date for Artemis 2, the giant SLS rocket has to ace a critical fueling test known as a wet dress rehearsal.
