The Oscar-winning filmmaker, who played a heightened version of himself in the comedy, called the nomination “an absolute cherry on top,” and added, “the whole experience in doing The Studio was such a blast. Evan [ Goldberg] and Seth [ Rogen] have that set completely wired for creativity and laughs, and I'm a huge fan of the show.”

Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard received their first ever acting Emmy nominations on Tuesday for their appearances in Apple TV+’s The Studio. The two were nominated in the best guest actor in a comedy series category alongside The Studio c ostars Dave Franco Bryan Cranston and Anthony Mackie, as well as The Bear ‘s Jon Bernthal.
