Veteran MMA referee Mark Smith was videoed getting carried backstage after suffering an apparent injury while working at UFC 324.

During UFC 324 on Saturday, fans were concerned after a video surfaced online of referee Mark Smith being helped backstage after working a fight earlier in the night.

However, following the event, UFC boss Dana White provided an update on Smith, revealing that the referee suffered a brutal injury during the fight. “Nobody has asked me about the ref blowing his ACL during the fight,” White said during the post-fight press conference.
