A longtime adviser to New York City Mayor Eric Adams who resigned from his administration while under FBI scrutiny gave a reporter a potato chip bag filled with cash Wednesday following a campaign event,

The volunteer, Winnie Greco, was a former fundraiser for Adams whose house was searched by federal agents last year amid multiple federal corruption probes into the mayor and some of his aides. Greco resigned as the mayor’s director of Asian affairs not long after her home was searched.

Ingrid Lewis-Martin accepted more than $75,000 in bribes while serving as chief adviser to New York Mayor Eric Adams, prosecutors alleged in four conspiracy indictments.
