Muncie ties abound in Wisconsin vs Kentucky NCAA Volleyball Final Four
When Wisconsin and Kentucky volleyball meet in Thursday's NCAA Volleyball Final Four match, three Muncie natives will be on the sideline as coaches.
The 2025 NCAA women's volleyball championships have now advanced to the Final Four stage. Top teams delivered staunch performances this season; however, after the completion of the first two rounds and regionals, only four out of 64 teams have advanced to the national semifinal round.
The top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats face the third-seeded Wisconsin Badgers in the second NCAA women's volleyball national semifinal today. Find out how to watch for free.
Kentucky jumped to a 7-4 lead over Wisconsin in the second, but the gritty Badgers surged mid-set to retake the lead, 20-18. Kentucky went on a 6-0 run to earn a set point, and despite Wisconsin fighting off two set points, Eva Hudson cashed in on the third set point to even it a set apiece.
The Final Four is back in Kansas City for the first time since 2017, just its second appearance as a host site. The Final Four also coincides with the American Volleyball Coaches Association Convention which is being conducted at the KC Convention Center, a yearly tradition to bring the volleyball community together simultaneously.
The fourth-ranked Panthers play Thursday night in the semifinal match (ESPN, 6:30 p.m. ET) against ninth-ranked Texas A&M.
