Former NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Michael Annett has died at age 39, his former team, JR Motorsports, announced Friday.

The NASCAR industry reacted this weekend to the death of former Xfinity Series winner Michael Annett. In a statement late Friday night, NASCAR’s communications staff confirmed Annett, who turned 39 this past June, had died at 39. No cause of death was provided.

Former NASCAR race winner Michael Annett has died at age 39, JR Motorsports confirmed Saturday. Annett made his NASCAR debut in 2008 and won his first national victory in 2019 during the Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
