The Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens will play an outdoor game next season, with the NHL announcing on Saturday that the Canadian franchises will face off in the Heritage Classic at Winnipeg's Princess Auto Stadium on Oct.

When the Jets host the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic against the Montreal Canadiens at Princess Auto Stadium on Oct. 27, the celebration will be all about the current version of the franchise.

The Winnipeg Jets visit the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game airs on ESPN+. Winnipeg's most recent game was a 5-1 road loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 1. Montreal played at home in its last game on Dec. 2, and fell 5-2 against the Ottawa Senators.
