Meta is retiring its standalone Messenger website this April, marking another step in the company’s move to consolidate all messaging activity within Facebook and its mobile apps.

The Messenger mobile app for iOS and Android will remain fully operational and unaffected, allowing users to continue conversations as usual on smartphones and tablets.

After the apps for Windows and Mac, Meta is also phasing out messenger.com as a platform for its messenger. Users are referred to Facebook and the mobile app.
