BERNALILLO, N.M. (KRQE) — If you want to learn to make pottery, there’s classes being offered at Coronado Historic Site. They cover everything from mixing the clay, to making pots, to painting them.
Pots of Arsi (Arusi) people are considered essential utilities in their daily lives. Women artisans, who belong to the socially segregated group called mana, are exclusively engaged in pottery making.
