The New York Knicks finally ended their 52-year championship drought, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 124-113 in the NBA Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vega
The Hornets knocked down a franchise record 24 three-pointers in a 133-126 win over the Hawks. Jalen Johnson had 43 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in that defeat. The Pelicans, Trail Blazers and Mavericks all snagged overtime victories.
The Knicks outworked the Spurs most of the game and outrebounded them 67-56, and that was the difference in the game. This was a playoff game for New York, and the Spurs gave regular season effort, which wasn’t good enough to get a win.
