Rangeley Fire Chief Mike Bacon told the Sun Journal that Maine Warden Service plane crashed around 11 a.m.

"He was finally going to be able to fulfill his goal of taking care of us and starting our life with our children,” his wife said

A Maine Game Warden was killed in a plane crash in Franklin County. The Maine Warden Service says the plane went down in the woods around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday near Schoolhouse Pond in Avon. The pilot, 50-year-old Joshua Tibbets, was the only occupant in the plane when it crashed.
