TEXAS CITY, Texas — A stretch of road near a Valero facility in Texas City was closed as a precaution on Saturday after higher-than-normal sulfur dioxide emissions were detected. According to the Texas City Emergency Management Facebook page, the closure is along Loop 197 from FM 519 to 605 South Loop. It's unclear how long the road will be closed.
