The Cincinnati Reds trailed the Boston Red Sox 2-1 when the tarp was pulled onto the field after the end of the third inning Tuesday.

The Red Sox are on a brief road trip to play the Washington Nationals before finishing the unofficial first half of the season at home against the Colorado Rockies and Tampa Bay Rays. They are coming off their first series win in two weeks in what was nearly a sweep of the Cincinnati Reds.

The Cincinnati Reds game against the Boston Red Sox was delayed after the third inning on Tuesday night at Fenway Park. Boston leads Cincinnati 2-1. The Red Sox scored two runs off of Brady Singer in the first inning.
