Mitsubishi Motors plans to sell an electric vehicle developed by a unit of iPhone assembler Foxconn Technology Group in the second half of 2026, part of efforts to beef up its EV offerings.

Foxconn, the maker of Apple's iPhones, has announced plans to produce electric vehicles (EV) for Japanese car giant Mitsubishi Motors. Under the agreement in principle, a Foxconn joint venture will design and build cars in Taiwan for Mitsubishi.

Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors and Foxconn subsidiary Foxtron Vehicle Technologies have signed a memorandum of understanding for the supply of an electric vehicle model, the companies said on Wednesday.
