The Trump administration announced an expansive review of some of the Smithsonian’s museums in an effort to ensure “alignment” with the president’s view of history.
In a letter to the Smithsonian's leader, White House officials said they would review exhibition text, curation, exhibition planning and collections starting with eight museums.
The institution's American history museum, natural history museum, African American history museum and American Indian museum are all affected.
