As the Penn State head coaching search has come up empty at every turn, many have speculated that the Nittany Lions' contingency plan is to poach Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer. The Crimson Tide coach addressed that speculation this week.

Asked about rumors linking him to Penn State, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said that he is not interested in the Big Ten job.

Because of that DeBoer's name will be linked with high-profile jobs, including the opening at Penn State, but DeBoer denied any connections with Penn State during a Thursday press conference.

While DeBoer drew scrutiny at times throughout the first two years of his Alabama tenure, he has the program back on track to compete for championships and would have to halt his positive momentum to take another job. Arguing that Penn State is a more premier destination than Alabama in the first place also takes some twisting of reality.
