Manti (1-1) delivered a dominant performance in a nonregion matchup, routing Juan Diego (0-2) with a 65-7 victory, marking the second most points scored in Manti’s school history. The Templars jumped out to a quick start with Ty Pringle’s 55-yard punt return and a 3-yard touchdown reception from Carter Mason in the first quarter.

Week 1 of the high school football season kicked off Thursday night in Avon, where the defending OHSAA Division II state champions roughed up St. Ignatius, 40-14.
