Delivering on a tease from earlier this week, Hollow Knight: Silksong opened proceedings at Gamescom ONL, with host Geoff Keighley revealing that the highly anticipated metroidvania will launch in 2025.

Opening Night Live is the first big showcase of gamescom this week, and it started off by confirming a 2025 release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Fans of FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are in for a treat, as an official anime adaptation of the 2019 game is in the works. Announced during Gamescom 2025 and produced by ARCH, Sekiro: No Defeat will directly adapt the story from the game with fully hand-drawn art. The anime series will be streamed exclusively on Crunchyroll.
