Chism (foot/ankle) didn't play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants.
"The Patriots project to have Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte and DeMario Douglas as their starting receivers, with Mack Hollins and 2025 third-round pick Kyle Williams also locks as complementary options," Reiss writes. Chism (foot/ankle) who has missed the Patriots' last two practices, isn't likely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. For now, the Patriots wideout corps remains crowded,
Efton Chism III has both of the Patriots’ touchdown receptions, and he’s the only Patriots receiver with more than 100 yards thus far. With teams scheduled to trim their rosters next week, the 5-foot-10, 198-pound Chism has put himself into the conversation about who will make the Patriots’ 53-man.
Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf said Chism comes to the facility at 5 a.m. to meet with wide receivers coach Todd Downing. Chism also previously said he spends time with veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins late after practice to continue going through the playbook.
Rookie wide receiver Efton Chism has been one of the stars of the New England Patriots’ preseason campaign so far.
