Detroit Lions cornerback D.J. Reed has not played up to his high standards since his return from a hamstring injury. Against the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran defensive back was the lowest PFF-graded player on the Lions (29.5).
The Lions allowing the Rams to score 20 unanswered points played significant part in their sixth loss of the season.
After setting a new single-game PFF record with the highest grade ever by a wide receiver last week (97.4), Nacua came back with a 95.0 grade on Sunday, the best of any wideout in the NFL. He now has the two highest game grades among qualified wide receivers in the league this season.
The Detroit Lions lost 41-34 to the NFC-leading Los Angeles Rams. Here are the game highlights from the Week 15 showdown.
Quarterbacks were key. Stafford found Parkinson for two touchdowns, including the score that put the Rams up for good late in the third quarter. At the same time, Jared Goff kept Detroit alive with several big throws, hitting Amon-Ra St. Brown repeatedly and finding Jameson Williams for a deep TD before halftime.
Between the end of the second quarter through the third, the Rams scored 20 unanswered points to comeback and steal the win from the Lions. The Rams’ defensive front came alive in the second half and wrecked havoc on the Lions’ interior offensive line.
