The leader of a cultlike group known as the Zizians that is linked to six killings in three states is due in a Maryland courtroom Tuesday along with two others. Jack Lasota, 34, of Berkeley, California,

Three people were arrested in connection with a series of homicides in California and Pennsylvania as well as the shooting death earlier this year in Vermont of a U.S. border patrol agent.

According to charging documents, the trio was observed trespassing on a property while dressed in all black. The group allegedly asked a resident if they could camp in the area for about a month, but they were told to leave.
