​The Powerball jackpot is again at a record-breaking figure. On Saturday night, the prize amount swelled to $1 billion, ranking it among the largest Powerball jackpots in history. This is the second time this year when the prize amount has escalated to such a level.

Two winning Powerball tickets recently sold in Kentucky. According to the Kentucky Lottery, both tickets were sold from the drawing on Sat., Dec. 13 and won the game's $50,000 prize. One ticket was purchased from the Five Star on West John Rowan Boulevard in Bardstown, Ky.

There's some big money on the line as the Powerball jackpot climbed to a billion dollars ahead of Saturday's drawing. Did you pick all six winning numbers?

After no grand prize winner from the Dec. 13 drawing, the Powerball jackpot for Dec. 15 now is at $1.1 billion — 6th-largest in the game's history.

The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was in September. There have been 42 consecutive drawings without a winner.
