BYU is turning to a familiar face to take the helm of its women’s basketball program. Lee Cummard will be the new head coach of the Cougars, the program announced Monday morning.

BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe officially introduced Lee Cummard as the eighth head coach of the BYU women’s basketball program on Monday afternoon.

Prior to that, he was the head coach of the BYU women’s basketball team for 21 seasons and became the winningest basketball coach in school history, men’s or women’s.
